- Help you understand what the procedure involves – Knowing what to expect can do a lot to reduce your anxiety. First, we’ll make sure you’re comfortable in the chair with a pillow and blanket if you like. Once your tooth is numb, you won’t feel any pain, though you might feel some pressure.
